The problem storage actually solves
A container arrives on the vessel's schedule. Your dock is free on yours. When those two do not line up, the box sits at the terminal and the terminal charges you for the privilege, at a daily rate that climbs the longer it stays.
Our yard holds more than 20 containers. Pulling a box into it stops the demurrage clock and hands the scheduling back to you. You take delivery when a door is genuinely free rather than when the terminal forces the issue.
What secure means here
It is our own gated yard, not rented space in someone else's lot. We control who goes in and we know what is on the ground, which means when you call and ask where your container is, the person answering can tell you.
Containers stay sealed. We do not open, strip or repack anything unless you have asked us to and agreed it in writing first.
Staged for when you want it
Storage is only useful if getting the box back out is easy. Because the same company is storing it and delivering it, redelivery is a scheduling conversation rather than a new booking with a new carrier who has to find the container first.
Tell us the delivery window and we stage it. There is no re-quoting the drayage leg because we never handed it to anyone else.
Common questions
How long can a container stay?
It depends what else is on the ground that week, so ask when you book rather than assuming. Give us a rough duration and we will confirm whether we can hold it that long.
Does storing it stop all the charges?
It stops terminal demurrage, because the box is no longer on their ground. It does not stop steamship line per diem — only returning the empty does that.
Can I store an empty waiting for a return appointment?
Often, yes. Empty return appointments can be scarce, and holding the empty in our yard is usually better than it occupying space in yours.
